KCC carries out detailed inspection and measurement of seawall toe structures to identify scour, undermining, block displacement, and cavity formation. The seawall toe is the most vulnerable part of the structure — scour here can lead to progressive failure of the entire seawall.
Scour at the seawall toe removes the support for the seawall face — and can lead to progressive failure of the entire structure. Early detection through regular toe surveys allows remediation to be planned and carried out before the situation becomes critical.
Seawall Face Visual Inspection
Diver inspection of seawall face panels, joints, and coping for cracking, spalling, and displacement.
Rubble Mound & Armour Stone Survey
Assessment of rubble mound revetments and armour stone stability.
Bathymetric Survey Support
Diver-assisted bathymetric surveys to map scour development at seawall toes.
