Pipeline Route Survey — Confirming Alignment & Detecting Free Spans

What is Pipeline Route Survey?

KCC carries out ROV and diver surveys of subsea pipeline routes to confirm alignment, identify free spans, and detect seabed movement or erosion that could affect pipeline integrity. Results are presented in a formal survey report with recommendations for any remedial works required.

What's Included

  • ROV survey of pipeline route from end to end
  • Identification and measurement of free spans
  • Detection of seabed movement, erosion, and scour adjacent to pipeline
  • Confirmation of pipeline alignment against as-built drawings
  • Formal survey report with findings and recommendations

Why This Matters

Free spans and seabed movement can subject subsea pipelines to fatigue loading and eventual failure. Regular route surveys allow these conditions to be identified and remediated before they reach a critical level.
