Pipeline Leak Detection — Finding Problems Before They Become Incidents

What is Leak Detection Survey?

KCC carries out visual and sensor-based inspection of subsea pipeline joints, flanges, and fittings for evidence of leaks, corrosion, and coating breakdown. Early detection of leaks allows repairs to be planned and carried out before they develop into environmental incidents.

What's Included

  • Visual inspection of all accessible joints, flanges, and fittings
  • Sensor-based leak detection at suspected leak points
  • Inspection of pipeline coating condition for breakdown and disbondment
  • Documentation of all findings with video and photographs
  • Formal report with leak assessment and repair recommendations

Why This Matters

Subsea pipeline leaks can cause environmental damage, operational disruption, and regulatory penalties. Early detection through regular inspection allows repairs to be planned and carried out before a small leak becomes a major incident.
