KCC installs mechanical clamps for the repair of leaking or structurally compromised subsea pipelines, outfalls, and structural connections. Mechanical clamps provide a rapid, reliable repair solution that does not require hot work and can be installed in the wet by commercial divers without interrupting flow in live systems.
Clamp design is carried out by a specialist structural engineer to suit the pipe diameter, wall thickness, operating pressure, and material. KCC's divers prepare the pipe surface, position the clamp halves, and torque all fasteners to the specified value under diver supervision. Leak-off testing confirms the repair before the system is returned to service.
Compliance: Clamp design and installation follows DNV-ST-F101 (Submarine Pipeline Systems) and ASME PCC-2 (Repair of Pressure Equipment and Piping). Diving operations comply with IMCA D 045 and HSE Diving at Work Regulations 1997.
A leaking subsea pipeline or outfall can cause environmental damage and service disruption within hours. Mechanical clamps allow KCC to restore integrity quickly — often within a single dive shift — without the programme delays associated with cut-and-weld repairs.
Subsea Grouting & Void Filling
