CP Potential Survey — Confirming Your Structure Is Protected

What is CP Potential Survey?

KCC carries out underwater electrochemical potential surveys to assess whether cathodic protection systems are providing adequate protection across the full extent of the structure. Results are assessed against the protection criteria specified by the relevant standard.

What's Included

  • Deployment of calibrated reference electrode
  • Potential readings at defined intervals across the structure
  • Assessment of readings against protection criteria
  • Identification of areas of under-protection or over-protection
  • Formal CP survey report with recommendations

Why This Matters

Regular CP potential surveys confirm that protection systems are working as intended — and identify areas where protection is inadequate before corrosion damage occurs. KCC's survey reports provide the documented evidence needed for asset management records.
