Diver-Assisted Marine Piling Operations

KCC provides specialist commercial diving support to piling contractors working in the marine environment. Our divers work alongside the piling rig and crane barge to guide piles into position, inspect seabed conditions at the pile toe, and confirm set and penetration depth. We do not drive or install piles directly, but provide the critical underwater eyes and hands that piling contractors cannot safely deploy themselves.

Typical scopes include: pre-piling seabed clearance and obstruction removal; pile guide and template installation; diver-assisted pile positioning and stabbing; toe inspection during driving to confirm penetration into competent founding material; and post-installation as-built survey of pile position, verticality, and cut-off level.

Compliance: All diving operations are conducted under IMCA D 045 (Inshore Diving) and HSE Diving at Work Regulations 1997. Method statements and risk assessments are prepared for each piling support scope.
